DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi (Meals: Dinner)
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be picked up from airport and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi for relax. Dinner will be served at one of the nicest restaurants after brief discussion on tour.
Overnight in Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast at hotel, start city tour with Ho Chi Minh Complex for visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum and One pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda. Continue to visit Literature temple, the first University in Vietnam in 16th century. Have lunch in one of famous restaurant in Hanoi. Afternoon visit ethnological museum then have cyclo in the old quarter and visit Dong Xuan market. Enjoy water puppet show in the afternoon before go back to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Cruise (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, start a drive to Halong Bay – designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasting scenery made famous by the French film “Indochine”. Wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most amazing scenic sights.
Upon reaching the dock, you will be welcomed on board and set sail through Bai Tu Long Bay while seafood lunch is served. Rest your eyes on the azure waters of this magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth, passing picturesque area around Mat Quy islet, Am islet. Mid-afternoon, get to Cua Van fishing village and enjoy a pleasant bamboo boat row to through the village with a museum and a school among floating homes. Visit Tien Ong cave then back on board to enjoy sunset cocktails and canapé. Dinner is served on in the cave.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai (Meals: Brunch, Dinner)
Start the day early to enjoy a Tai Chi class on top deck with an opportunity to admit the magnificent scenery of sunrise over the sea. After that, you can choose to go to Soi Sim beach for swimming or join your chef for cooking demonstration to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine art. On the way back, take deep cruise into Bai Tu Long Bay, passing Pearl Farm, Phao Dai islet, Tam Cung cave, Hon Xep islet, Dau Moi temple, opportunity to cruise through famous L’Indochine movie site (subject to tide condition).
Enjoy buffet brunch on board before arrival to the dock. Transfer back to Hanoi.
Arrive in Hanoi around 16: 00, relax then have dinner before escorted to Railway Station for night train to Lao Cai depart at 8PM.

Day 5: Lao Cai – Sa pa – Cat Cat (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Upon arrival in Lao Cai around 5AM, transferred to Sapa by car. Have breakfast at local restaurant and relax. Then we start a short trek to Cat Cat village, the village of H’mong tribe in the valley, which remains very generally uncorrupted outside forces. Excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H’mong village. Enjoy some visits to local families and reach their customs. After the village down into the valley, the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible. A “white curtain” cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep-green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvelous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weather…

Day 6: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Night train back to Hanoi (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Breakfast at the hotel before being transferred to Lao Chai village, a village of Black H’mong. Short trek down to river to visit hill tribe house to see their living style and the local woman made their handicraft clothes. Further on along the road, the Ta Van village where Dzay people staying can be seen. Visit the village and reach their customs. Trek back to main road and the car take you back to Sapa, transfer to Lao Cai for your night train back to Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi – Hue (Meals: Breakfast)
Train arrives in Hanoi at 5: 30, you will be picked up to the nearby hotel for breakfast and relax until transferred to the airport for flight to Hue. Upon arrival in Hue, you are transferred to hotel for relax and overnight.

Day 8: Hue City Tour (Meals: Breakfast)
In the morning visit Royal Citadel which was constructed by Emperor Gia Long in the style of French military architect Vauban during the first decades of the 19th century. Before leaving the site of Imperial city we visit Imperial Museum, many precious objects which were salvaged from the Imperial city then we visit Khai Dinh Tomb, have lunch. Afternoon boat trip along Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda, Minh Mang tomb, visit Dong Ba market.

Day 9: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (Meals: Breakfast)
Drive to Hoi An by passing Hai Van Pass, Lang Co Beach, via Da nang and visit Cham Museum and Marble Mountain en route. Afternoon visit Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years. Take a walking tour of the ancient town center to visit the former merchants’ homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful market.

Day 10: Hoi An – Danang – Saigon (Meals: Breakfast)
Morning free at your relaxation. In the afternoon you will be transferred to airport for flight to Saigon. Upon arrival in Saigon, transfer to your hotel in the city center for overnight.

Day 11: Saigon City Tour (Meals: Breakfast)
Full day city tour. Visit Former Presidential Palace, the War Crime Museum, the central complex of architecture: the Notre Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, the Municipal Theater, Xa Loi Pagoda, where keeps the glass vase that on its central altar contains the heart of Thich Quang Duc, a Buddhist monk who felt so strongly about the in humane treatment of his fellows that he committed suicide by burning on June 11, 1963 as a final protest, visit Ben Thanh market and China town.

Day 12: Saigon – Cai Be – Mekong Delta (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
At 8: 00 pick up at your hotel and start a drive to Cai Be town pier. Upon embarkation on your river junk, you will be welcomed with fresh cotton towels. The cruise will begin with the visit
of Cai Be colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables.  We will then proceed to Phu An hamlet, an untouched beautiful area reflecting some of the best sights the Mekong Delta can offer.
On the way, stop will be made at some local home factories to observe how rice paste, coconut candies and other regional specialties are made.
A delicious lunch will await you at “Le Longanier”, a superb Indochinese villa located by the river, in a lush tropical garden surrounded by fruit plantations.
After lunch, your sampan will cruise deeper into the country side on smaller canals and arroyos passing under several small traditional bridges made by wood and bamboos. Stops can be made during the cruise to visit some fruit markets  and plantations on the banks (bananas, water melon, and longans), an opportunity to make contacts with local inhabitants. Along the river, local houses are still traditionally made of wood and palm tree leaves. On the river banks, you will observe some very large rice fields while cruising between numerous suspended fishing nets, an ancestral way of fishing in the Mekong Delta.
The cruise will proceed to Dong Hoa Hiep island. You will disembark at an ancient Mandarin house dating from late 19th century located on the river banks. After being greeted by the owners, you will proceed to the check-in formalities and leaded to your room.
Rest of the day at leisure in a peaceful and romantic atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at the ancient house.

Day 13: Mekong Delta – Saigon (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, back on board your private sampan for your second day cruise in the delta. You will discover Dong Hoa Hiep island, a peaceful escape where you will be able to discover the rural life style and daily activities of the delta inhabitants such as roofs making with palm tree leaves, a bricks and tiles artisanal factory, net fishing,…
These evergreen islands among the Mekong River bring about large networks of meandering
rivers, criss-crossed with countless arroyos, and remaining unknown to many people.
We will proceed the cruise up-stream on the Tien Giang River, another large arm of the Mekong. On both sides of the river, locals are recolting water jacinth, another famous Mekong delta product  used for furniture and baskets.
On the banks, some dark smokes in the sky will lead us to one of the biggest bricks and tiles factory where we will you have an interesting visit.
Back on board, we will cruise to Sa Dec. The town is appearing like a little “Venice” with numerous narrow canals, with various kinds of activities on the banks.
We will disembark at the local market place, and have a short walk through it.
Your lunch will be served at on board. In the afternoon, visit of Sa Dec charming and peaceful town, walking along its narrow streets and beautiful old houses dating from the last century, among some old Chinese temples, ancient Dinh, including the primary school of Marguerite Duras famous writer. The excursion will end at around 4pm. Your own private transportation vehicle will await you for your transfer back to Saigon.

Day 14: Saigon Departure (Meals: Breakfast)
